Wow, what a team! Alex Rose and Bethany Hallam (Allegheny Council People at Large) were the roses among the roses, hehe (Susan Rose is on the right). It was great to see the attendance growing to 28 tonight at the Whitehall Democratic monthly meeting.

Agenda: Discussion of the upcoming elections, including the special election in November. Succession planning for officials who are aging out. How to be elected as a committee member from one of the 16 districts in Whitehall. What is the Allegheny County Endorsement Vote?

We are grateful to our two speakers:
Alex Rose: County Council Person at Large, Young Democrats member, and coauthor of legislation to discount property taxes after reassessment.
Bethany Hallam: County Council Person at Large, focused on outreach to underserved communities and local news in Allegheny County Council, including proposed legislation regarding ICE locally.
